Welcome to Factory Shoals Elementary School, Home of the Dolphins! Our mission is to provide a high-quality education for all students in a safe, supportive environment that fosters success for everyone. Our school motto is D.I.V.E., which stands for Determined Individuals Valuing Education.

It is my absolute honor and privilege to welcome you to the 2024-2025 school year! I am thrilled to have your child join our school community and eagerly anticipate the achievements they will make this year.

Our theme this year is: “We are better together.”

This theme emphasizes the power of collaboration and unity within our school community. It highlights the idea that when we work together, support one another, and leverage our collective strengths, we can achieve far more than we could individually. By fostering a culture of TEAMWORK, mutual RESPECT, and shared GOALS, we can create an environment where every student and staff member feels valued and empowered. Together, we will strive to make this year extraordinary for everyone.

My vision for Factory Shoals is to create an environment where students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally, all while enjoying their educational journey. Our supportive and caring school community is dedicated to helping your child thrive. I believe that progress requires change, and my goal is to cultivate a culture of success by prioritizing what is best for our children. We aim to set high expectations for all learners. My door is always open, and I look forward to building strong relationships with you, your children, and our school community.

We recognize that you are your child's first and most important teacher. We value your partnership and look forward to working together to ensure your child's success.

Here are a few things you can do to prepare for the new school year:

  • Set Realistic Expectations: Discuss your child's hopes and goals for the year. Help them set challenging but achievable objectives.

  • Communicate with Your Child's Teacher: Maintain regular contact with your child's teacher. Share updates and concerns, and join your child’s Remind/Class Dojo to stay connected.

  • Get Involved: Participate in your child's education by volunteering in the classroom, joining our PTA, and attending school events.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to me via phone or email if you need anything. I am confident that this will be a successful year for all of us, and I am excited about the year ahead!

It's great to be a Dolphin!

All the best,

Tosha Wright
