ESOL

ESOL students will participate in the ACCESS assessment between January 16 and February 8. English learners take the ACCESS assessment each year to determine their level of English language proficiency and growth in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.

Attached is an ACCESS for ELLs Information for Families handout, which gives more information about the assessment, including its purpose, what scores will be provided, and how the scores will be used.

Your student's performance on this assessment will not affect their grades. However, please encourage your students to take the test seriously and do their best. The results of these tests will help our school determine the best planning, instruction, and services to support students.

If you have any questions, please get in touch with Mrs. Willis at 770-651-3942 or khalimah.willis@dcssga.org.
